On 9 June 2008, Sea Cap III girded and capsized while manoeuvring a barge at Derby Reach in the Fraser River, British Columbia. Appendix B of TSB report M18P0230 identifies the casualty as M08W0103. The earlier North Arm Venture investigation also names Sea Cap III under that identifier in its review of girding occurrences. Neither historical reference supplies an individual reconstruction, casualty count, response sequence or damage estimate for this event. No specific cause beyond the reported girding mechanism has been established.
Investigation
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada records M08W0103 in Appendix B of report M18P0230 (printed page 35). That report investigates George H.
